Tuesday Class- September 1st Conversation - New phrasals

Conversation with the new phrasals.

* Hello Anselmo , Could you tell me why you didn't turn up for my classes ultimately?

# Hi Teacher! I thought I had told you that I would be travelling these days.

* And I thought you had given up the course.

# No way teacher! As I told you before I'll keep studying till I know everything I am supposed to learn.

* Ok. Let's change the subject... Did you watch the game yesterday?

# Which game ? Corinthians against Botafogo or São Paulo against Atlético?

* Both.

# I think that the ref made a bad call and helped Botafogo.

* Yeah, the player scored with his hand ... but what about São Paulo's game?

# Sooner or later they would be defeated...we lost a great opportunity to be closer, much closer...

* I agree...São Paulo's supporters were showing off by changing our song to " The champion is back"

# I think that someday the " Gaviões da Fiel" will answer to this provokation cos' this song belongs to them...originally.

* Yeah, they won't get away with it. I mean , They will pay for it.

# I hope they don't use violence ... I don't like when they use violence to defend their view.

* I'm sorry to cut this short but I'm running out of time now. There is a student waiting me ...I gotta go.

# Ok teacher, Thanks a lot for your time.

* I see you tomorrow at seven ok?

# Alright, see you there!

Second Conversation

# Why don't you go to your work by car?

* Well, I'd like to go , really, but ...you know ...I'm running out of gas.

# Why don't you go to the gas station?

* Now I can't cos' I'm running out of time. I have to take a bus.

# I'm not asking for you to go now. You can go when you get back home ...can't you?

* No , I can't.

# What is the matter?

* I'm running out of money.

# What time is it?

* It's a quarter to nine. Why?

# I need to turn up for my English Class. They are waiting me there.

* Where is your School?

# It's next to São Mateus bus terminal.

* Bye!
